How To: Edit employee statutory information for EPF, SOCSO, and EIS in Quarto's Staff Setup and General Worker Setup

Article ID: Q-HTMF-0007

Summary

When an employee (staff or general worker) is hired in the plantation operating units, recording their statutory information for EPF, SOCSO, and EIS is part of the initial Quarto setup process to manage payroll and checkroll. From time to time, the statutory information of employees may require updates as employee designations, statutory rates, policies, or laws are changed. In Quarto, the Staff Setup and General Worker Setup components in the Master File module enables users to maintain up-to-date records of employee statutory information.

Note:
The steps in this article are applicable for staff and workers who are entitled for EPF, SOCSO, and EIS contribution. The three other optional statutory contributions are PCB, HRDC, and Baitulmal. Whether or not employees are subject to these optional contributions depends on the company/OU.
